Madison Hagen

Madison Hagen enters her second season with the Captains in 2026-27. 

Hagen joins the CNU staff after starting her coaching career at the University of Northern Colorado in 2024-25. She served under head coach Kristen Mattio as an assistant coach and assistant director of operations during the 2024-25 season where the Bears finished in the second round of the Big Sky Conference Championship Tournament. 

From Puyallup, Washington, Hagen played collegiate basketball for five seasons. She began her career at Wisconsin-Eau Claire during the 2019-20 season before transferring to Whitworth University following the CoVID-19 global pandemic. Hagen played for Whitworth from 2020-23 before using her fifth year of eligibility at The Evergreen State College in 2023-24. 

Hagen earned a bachelor's degree in Sport Psychology with a minor in Coaching from Whitworth before later completing a Masters in Sport Coaching from the University of Northern Colorado in Spring 2026.
