Biography

At Fluvanna Co.: Placed third at the state championships in the 500 after winning the regional title. All-region in the 400, 500, 800, 4X200 and 4X400. Set school records in the 500, 800, 1000 and 4X800. Won two Jefferson District 800 championships. The first athlete from Fluvanna Co. to make it to nationals.

 

Personal - Matthew Winkler was born Oct. 17, 1988 in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. He’s the son of Armin and Fiona Winkler and has a sister Anita. He has not yet chosen his major.
