2006-2007 - Mason-Dixon Conference indoor high jump champion with a year of 1.96 meters. He was second outdoors at 6-5 1/2.

2005-2006 - Earned All-America honors in the high jump by placing fourth at the NCAA Indoor National Championships with a leap of 6-7 1/2. Won both the Mason-Dixon Conference indoor and outdoor championships with jumps of 6-8.

2004-2005 - Placed first in the high jump at the Mason-Dixon Championships with a height of 6 feet, 8 1/2 inches. Also the Mason-Dixon champ outdoors at 6-4, but produced a leap of 6-8 at the Captains Classic.

At Warren Co. - State champion and 11th place finisher at nationals in the high jump. Also All-Region and All-Northwest District in the 400 and triple jump. Team captain for coach Jeremy Bornworth as a senior.

Personal - Henry Joseph Owens was born Oct. 15, 1985 in Front Royal, Va. He is the son of Mary and the late Joe “Ace” Owens who was captain of the track team at the University of Richmond for two years. He has a brother Joshua, 11 and a sister Faith, 18. He is majoring in Sociology with a minor in Psychology.
