2019-20 - Senior Season:
Cross Country - Did not compete during the fall season.
Track & Field - Snatched second-team All-Conference honors as a member of the 4x400-relay … Helped lead the foursome to a second-place showing at the CAC Championships with a time of 3:28.98 … Also came in third in the 400 (51.74) during the league meet … Tallied his top clocking in the 200 at the CNU Qualifier after finishing in 23.88 … Had three top-10 showings during the winter campaign, including an eighth-place showing in the 400 at the Captains Invitational.

2018-19 - Junior Season:
Cross Country - Did not see action during the fall season.
Track & Field - Finished 12th in the 400 during the CAC Outdoor Championships with a time of 52.76 … Posted a season-best time in that event at the Eastern Shore Challenge after crossing the line in 52.71 … Also finished fourth in the 4x400 (3:33.30) during that meet … Chipped in with a pair of top-10 efforts at the Blue & Silver Challenge … Placed fifth in the 4x400 (3:34.52) and seventh in the 400 (57.57) … Had a total of four top-10 showings during the year.

2017-18 - Sophomore Season:
Cross Country - Ran the 5k at the Mary Washington Opener (18:56.2) and the 6k at the William & Mary Invitational (27:19.1).
Track & Field - Came in third in the 4x400-relay at the CAC Indoor Championships after helping the foursome complete the race in 3:29.12 ... Also placed fourth in the 400 during the CAC Outdoor Championships with a time of 53.34 ... Registered his top 400 time of the year at the New Captains Classic after finishing in 52.58 ... Competed in the 800 as well and tallied his fastest clocking during the Vince Brown Invitational after crossing in 2:07.03.

2016-17 - Freshman Season:
Cross Country - Took part in the CNU Cross Country Invitational … Placed 10th overall in the 3k after crossing the line in 10:31.0.
Track & Field - Put together a solid debut campaign with the Captains … Brought home All-Region honors as a member of the indoor and outdoor 4x400-relay … Also collected All-Conference honors in the event after guiding the foursome to a second-place finish at the CAC Indoor and Outdoor Championships … Helped the outdoor DMR establish a new school record after posting a time of 10:17.62 during the Colonial Relays … Finished sixth in the 400 with a season-best time of 50.92 during the CAC Outdoor Championships … Also had a ninth-place finish in the event during the indoor title meet … Added his top mark of 24.69 in the 200 at the Lloyd Sigler Spring Meet … Competed in the 800 as well and finished with a PR of 2:01.91 at the Commonwealth Duals.

At Deep Run - Competed in track & field for four years … Was a perennial All-Conference, All-Region, and All-State honoree … Was celebrated for his work in the 400, 500, 4x400, and 4x800 … Won the state championship and was an All-American as a member of the 4x800 relay as a junior … Established school records in the 500 as well as the 4x800 and DMR relays … Saw action as a cornerback on the football team as well.
 
Personal - Stephen Carter Giles is the son of Ken Giles and Wendy Miller … Has a twin brother, Cole, who is also a member of the cross country and track & field teams at CNU … His dream vacation would be to go to the Olympics … A Chipotle Burrito is his favorite food, and “Florida Georgia Line” is his favorite band … Undecided on a major.
