2007 - Junior Year - Had her finest season yet, leading the Captains with a .457 batting average and earning first team all-USA South and second team all-Virginia Division II-III honors...Her batting average was the sixth highest in CNU history...Produced 21 multi-hit games, including three each against Oneonta, Lynchburg, N.C. Wesleyan and Rutgers-Camden. The latter was in the NCAA Tournament...Also paced CNU with 44 RBIs, equalling the third best total ever at CNU...Had four RBIs in games with Arcadia and Bridgewater and three each in games with Salisbury and Mary Baldwin...Hit three home runs, in contests with Arcadia, Salisbury and Bridgewater...Made just three errors in 186 chances.
2006 - Sophomore Year - Went from a .225 freshman season to leading CNU in hitting at .393 in one season and was chosen second team all-USA South catcher...Led the Lady Captains with 13 doubles including two each against King’s and Greensboro... Also had two home runs in a game against Oneonta in which she had three hits and four RBIs...Even added a triple versus Averett... Had three hits each against Frostburg St., King’s, Oneonta and Chowan.
2005 - Freshman Year - Started all 42 games of her freshman year...Had three hits against Southern Virginia, one of which was a double, and two in five other contests.
AT SOUTH LAKES - First team all-Liberty District for two years playing for coach Ian Dowling...Had a .325 career batting average and a .960 career fielding percentage...An all-region and all-district volleyball player and competed in swimming as well...She was an Honor Roll student as a senior, participated in two choirs and a church leadership program...Also volunteered with a Little League baseball team.
PERSONAL - Margit Anne Severin was born Oct. 15, 1985 in Austin, Texas...She is the daughter of Mark and Kerstin Severin and is majoring in Psychology...She has two brothers, Marc, 26 and Marshall, 17 and a sister Mary, 12...Her mother played softball and volleyball at the College of Eastern Utah.
