2008 - Junior Year - Another fine season at third base...Had two hits each in games against Bridgewater, Allegheny, Lynchburg and Meredith and two RBIs versus Meredith.

2007 - Sophomore Year - Earned a regular spot at third base, starting 34 of the 37 games in which she appeared...Had three hits against Virginia Wesleyan and two each versus King’s and Greensboro...Also had a pair of RBIs in games with Greensboro and Chowan...A member of the USA South all-academic team.

2006 - Freshman Year - Saw action in 34 of CNU’s 40 games, including four starts...Hit a fine .318 in 22 at bats including a double against Lycoming...Had a pair of RBIs in a game with Oneonta.

AT LEE-DAVIS - Second team all-region and first team all-Capital District in her senior year as well as second team all-district as a junior...Won the Coaches’ Award in her senior year and was a Richmond Times Dispatch Player of the Week once...Also the Virginia Sports Complex’s Player of the Month once and captain of coach Jackie Davis’ team...Hit .386 as a senior...Also an outstanding tennis player...Won Academic Letters four times and was a Hanover Scholar...A member of the National Honor Society and President of Beta.

PERSONAL - Danielle Kristin Steel was born Nov. 4, 1986 in Glen Allen, Va...She is a Communications major and is the daughter of Fred and Carol Steel...Has a brother Billy, 16 and a sister Lauren, 20.
