Todd Winegrad has re-joined the Christopher Newport coaching staff for the 2021 season.
Winegrad has spent much of his life playing or coaching softball, and has worked with Head Coach Keith Parr previously on the Captains staff. He has also served as assistant coach at Hampton University as well as coached at the youth and high school levels.
Winegrad's playing career included a six-year run as a pitcher for the Fox Hill Fastpitch Softball Association. That team was regarded as one of the finest teams in the nation for many years before finally closing.
Winegrad’s father, Don, is a member of the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) Hall of Fame. Winegrad has two children, a daughter, Brooke, and a son, Tyler.
