2016-17 - Junior Season - Continued to fill up his mantel, collecting first-team All-Conference and All-State accolades for his work in singles and doubles … Recorded 11 victories in singles action, including three at the No. 1 position and five at the No. 2 spot in dual play … Finished with a 4-1 record in league action … Helped the Captains register the program’s first-ever CAC Championship with a victory at No. 2 singles during the title match against No. 18 Mary Washington … Continued his strong postseason play, leading 6-1, 3-1 during an unfinished bout against Franciscan in the first round of the NCAA Tournament ... CNU eventually registered a victory over Franciscan in the opening round of the national playoffs and advanced to the second round for just the second time in program history … Also won the first set at No. 2 singles during another unfinished match against No. 17 Johns Hopkins in the second round of the tournament … Shined in doubles as well, posting a 17-8 record during the year, including a 15-8 mark with David Reed … Recorded wins at No. 1 doubles in the CAC Championship and first round of the NCAA Tournament … Qualified along with Reed for the NCAA Doubles National Championship ...
