2012 - Junior Season - Appeared in all 15 games and cracked the starting lineup in each of the first 11 during the year ... Caused 19 turnovers during the season and had at least one in all but three contests ... Forced a season-best three turnovers against Randolph on February 19 before equaling that feat against St. Vincent on March 7 ... Secured 22 ground balls during the year, including a season-high five against Greensboro on April 22 ... Also collected four against Virginia Wesleyan on April 4.

2011 - Sophomore Season - Saw action in five games...Picked up three ground balls and caused three turnovers.

At Heritage - Earned first team all district honors in lacrosse and first team all district and all MET in football…Played four years of both lacrosse and football for coach Jason Burke…an honor roll student.

Personal - Zakary Ryan Burkhard was born on January 26, 1989 in Fairfax, Va….He is the son of Darian and Jill Burkhard and has a brother, Drew and a sister, Brittany…He is an Information Science major.
