2025 -- Freshman Season -- Opened her softball career at Christopher Newport by pitching in ten games for the Captains, and making one start...posted a record of 2-0 and an earned run average of 1.88...made her first appearance in a Captains uniform in relief on February 26th vs. Randolph and allowed no runs and struck out two in an inning of work...made her only start of the year vs. Moravian on March 15th and pitched six innings, registering her first career victory in an 8-5 Captains win...saw action in three NCAA Regional games in May, and allowed no runs in 5.2 innings vs. Farmingdale State, Alfred, and Randolph-Macon...recorded a season-high three strikeouts vs. Farmingdale State and Randolph-Macon...logged 17 total strikeouts for the year and walked just two in 18.2 total innings.

At Varina - Was an outstanding pitcher for the Blue Devils, and recorded 617 strikeouts over her high school career...was team captain her last three years and was named the Female Athlete of the Year her senior season...also was Valedictorian of her senior class.

Personal - Hailey Marie Butler is the daughter of Michael Butler and Jennifer Wendel...Psychology major...Favorite food is fettuccine alfredo and enjoys Grey's Anatomy...lists her favorite author as Colleen Hoover and a trip to the Bahamas would be a dream vacation...aspires to become a kindergarten teacher.
