2011 - Sophomore Season - Took 134 face-offs for the Captains and won 84 giving him a team high .622 face-off win percentage that ranked him 24th nationally...Also had three assists and 42 ground balls...

2010 - Freshman Season - Saw action in 15 games…took shots in the Guilford and St. Mary’s games…Collected nine ground balls verse Hampden-Sydney and six in the St. Mary’s game…Had a total of 36 ground balls for the season...

AT PROVIDENCE - Selected first team all-state as well as all-Western Region and all-Queen City Conference in his senior year...Played in the North Carolina Great 38 all-star game...Played for coach William Humphrey and was team captain...The team won three conference championships along with one city and one state title...


PERSONAL - Gregory W. Basch was born Nov. 27, 1990 in Rochester, N.Y...He is an English major and the son of Tom and Theresa Basch...Has three brothers, Thomas, 29; Richard, 15 and Michael, 9.
