2021-22 - Senior Season:
Cross Country - Took part in the 5k at the Spider Alumni Open in September … Finished 54th in the field with a time of 16:41.3.
Track & Field - Did not compete during the winter and spring campaigns.
 
2019-20 - Junior Season:
Cross Country - Placed 46th at the CAC Championships with a time of 30:13.0 in the 8k … Added his fastest time over that distance while coming in 17th at the CNU Invitational in 29:02.5 … Clocked in at 21:44.0 in the 6k at the Hornet Harrier Challenge.
Track & Field - Threw down his top mile time of the year at the CNU Qualifier after coming in eighth with a 4:41.19 mark … Added a new PR in the 3000 at the Vince Brown Invitational while placing fifth in 9:22.28 … Also came in sixth in the 3000 at the Captains Invitational in 9:29.44 … Completed the 5000 in 17:04.19 at the VMI Keydet Invitational as well.

2018-19 - Sophomore Season:
Cross Country - Participated in the 8k twice during the year, including a season-best time of 28:53.6 during the Don Cathcart Invitational … Also came in 11th in the event at the CNU Invitational (29:57.0).
Track & Field - Ran the 10,000 for the first time at the CAC Outdoor Championships and placed 14th in the league with a 35:00.40 clocking … Took part in the 1500 and 5000 throughout the year … Posted his fastest 1500 time at the Blue & Silver Challenge (4:12.60) and had his best 5000 effort at the Eastern Shore Challenge (16:52.08) … Also finished 11th in the mile during the CNU Holiday Open (4:39.10) … Had five top-10 finishes during the year, including a second-place showcase in the 1500 at the Lloyd Sigler Spring Meet.

2017-18 - Freshman Season:
Cross Country - Finished 72nd at the CAC Championships with a time of 29:14.7 ... Registered his top mark in the 8k during the Don Cathcart Invitational after crossing in 27:48.9 ... Ran a pair of 6k races at the William & Mary Invitational and Tribe Open ... Also took part in the Mary Washington Opener and CNU Invitational.
Track & Field - Posted his top mark in the 3000 (9:37.27) during the Captains Invitational and had his fastest mile clocking (4:45.25) at the Vince Brown Invitational ... Finished 11th in the 3000-steeplechase during the Dr. Jack Toms Invitational after crossing in 10:22.67 ... Completed the 1500 in a season-best time of 4:11.85 at the New Captains Classic and finished the 5000 in 16:16.15 at the Tribe Invitational.

At Albemarle - Captured the 2016 Conference 16 Cross Country Championship during his time with the Patriots … Also secured All-State accolades in track & field for his efforts in the indoor 1000 … Served as a team captain on both the cross country and track & field squads.

Personal - Zachary Scott Mackenzie is the son of Mauris and Zenovia Mackenzie … Has a younger brother, William … His mother competed in cross country and track at Washington State and ranks among the program’s all-time leaders in the 1,500 … Majoring in American Studies.
