QUENTIN ACREE was promoted to the position of Assistant Coach in July of 2024 after joining the CNU staff as a part-time coach prior to the 2023-24 season. He had spent the previous two seasons on the coaching staff as an assistant at his alma mater, Southern Virginia University.

"I'm very excited to see Quentin moving into our full time coaching position," Head Coach John Krikorian said. "Simply put, Coach Q is a rising star in this profession and a huge asset and advocate for our players. He is a student of the game, laser-focused yet fun to be around, and committed to helping our players be the best version of themselves."

Acree and the Captains registered a record of 24-7 in 2023-24 and advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. His duties in the CNU program included assisting with scouting, analytics, and extensive focus on player development.

While at SVU as an assistant coach, Acree and the Knights set a school record for most wins (14) in their NCAA Division III era, and also recorded their first conference tournament win (2022-23). Southern Virginia also set new school marks for three-point shooting, assists, and points per game. Acree's time at his alma mater resulted in the development of two first team all-conference players, including a conference Rookie of the Year. He also handled academic oversight as well, which led to a team average GPA of 3.45 over the two years in Buena Vista.

Acree is a native of Tampa, Florida, and received a bachelors degree in Business Management with a sports focus in 2022 from Southern Virginia University.
