2026 -- Sophomore Season -- Enjoyed a fantastic sophomore season, earning first team All-Conference honors in the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference...was named the C2C's Pitcher of the Week five times, including the last four weeks of the season...despite missing two months of the season due to injury, recorded eight wins with just one loss and an earned run average of 2.02...appeared in 12 games in the circle, starting seven times and completing seven games for Head Coach Keith Parr's squad...struck out 42 batters in 59 innings of work while walking just 21...logged two shutouts and also earned three saves...held opponents to a batting average of just .205...posted a victory in the NCAA Tournament vs. Penn College and also earned a save vs. Mount Union in the regional in Alliance, Ohio...threw a complete game, allowing just one unearned run, as CNU captured the C2C Tournament title with a win over Mary Washington at Captains Park...named MVP of the C2C Tournament...opened the season with a Valentine's Day victory at Methodist, but then missed the next two months of action due to injury...returned on April 12th with a victory at Meredith, and led the Captains pitching staff the rest of the way...registered a season-high eight strikeouts in a complete-game shutout at Mary Washington on April 25th.

2025 -- Freshman Season -- Began her collegiate career at Christopher Newport University...did not see any game action for the Captains.

At Buffalo Gap - Was a multi-sport athlete with the Lady Bison, pitching and playing outfield for softball, as well as being a setter on the volleyball squad and running indoor and outdoor track...softball squad won a regional championship her senior season...collected first team All-State, All-Region and All-District honors, and was also a second team All-State and All-Region honoree...was team captain of softball and volleyball squads...also played on the Dixie Chicks 18U travel softball team...National Honor Society member. 

Personal - Caroline Fitzgerald Alger is the daughter of Leslie and Kevin Alger...has a sister, Kate, who is a senior pitcher at CNU...father played baseball at Ferrum College and was in the minor leagues in the Phillies organization...biology major at CNU...favorite movie is the Blind Side and favorite food is spaghetti...lists Amelia Earhart as the person in history she would most want to meet...a trip to Maldives is her dream vacation...aspires to become a dentist.
