2023 - 5th-Year Senior Season - Wrapped up his collegiate career with one final award-winning season ... Garnered honorable mention USILA All-American accolades while solidifying his spot as one of the nation's top defensemen ... Also picked up second-team All-Conference and All-State citations ... Started all 22 games on the back line and ranked fifth in the league with 32 caused turnovers ... Had at least two takeaways in 10 of his appearances, including three strips against No. 7 Gettysburg during the third round of the NCAA Tournament on May 13 ... Also had three caused turnovers in an overtime victory at No. 11 Lynchburg on April 1 ... Forced three miscues and snatched four ground balls in the season opener against Grove City on February 18 ... Added two takeaways in a pair of nationally-ranked battles against No. 2 Salisbury on April 8 and May 7 ... Notched two in a win over No. 7 Dickinson on March 18 as well ... 2021 - Junior Season - Stepped into a starting role on the defensive unit during his first year with the Captains … Saw action in all 19 games and earned 15 starts while cracking the lineup in each of the team’s five postseason outings … Finished the year with 16 caused turnovers, including five in the playoffs … Pieced together one of his finest outings of the season in the NCAA Quarterfinals against No. 4 Lynchburg on May 22 … Forced two turnovers, grabbed three ground balls, and won a race to the end line to flip possession in overtime while kick-starting a successful clear that resulted in the game-winning goal against the nationally-ranked Hornets … Came back the following afternoon with two more takeaways in the Final Four at No. 2 Salisbury on May 23 … Had at least two caused turnovers in six of his appearances during the year, including three against Colorado College on April 4 … Also forced a pair of miscues in the team’s regular season win against No. 2 Lynchburg on March 20 … Finished with 28 ground balls and had at least one in 18 of his 19 appearances … Collected two ground balls in a top-10 showdown with No. 2 Salisbury on April 14 before adding two more and a takeaway in the Coast-to-Coast Conference Semifinals against Southern Virginia on May 5 … Scooped up a roller in the opening game of the NCAA Tournament at No. 12 Stevenson on May 8 as well.

2020 - Sophomore Season (at Furman) - Appeared in six games with the Paladins … Caused two turnovers and snatched a ground ball against No. 7 Penn State in the season finale on March 10 … Scooped up a pair of rollers at No. 13 Duke on March 1 … Also had two ground balls in a win over Hampton on February 8 … Saw action in a nationally-ranked showdown with No. 3 North Carolina on March 6 as well.
 
2019 - Freshman Season (at Furman) - Competed in 11 games during his first collegiate campaign … Registered a takeaway and ground ball in a win over Hampton on February 24 … Also caused a turnover against VMI on April 27 … Appeared in four games against nationally-ranked competition, including his collegiate debut against No. 2 Duke on February 2 … Also saw time in battles with No. 14 High Point on March 30, No. 15 North Carolina on February 9, and No. 18 Georgetown on March 5.
 
At St. Christopher’s School - Was a multi-sport standout with the Saints … Secured All-State accolades for his work on the lacrosse team … Also was an All-Metro and All-Prep selection … Captured a state championship as a member of the swimming team during his junior campaign as well.
 
Personal - Burke Widhelm is the son of Bill and Mary Kay Widhelm … Has an older brother, Parker, who played lacrosse at Furman from 2016-19.
