Robert Kearn returned to Christopher Newport University in 2020 to take the position of Head Athletic Trainer. He first joined the athletic department at Christopher Newport in 2017, and served as assistant athletic trainer for CNU’s 24 sports teams. Kearn is responsible for helping to maintain the health and safety of CNU’s highly successful athletes.
Kearn is a 2014 graduate of Virginia Tech with a bachelor's degree in political science. While there, Rob was a club lacrosse player, and, upon graduating, attended Seton Hall to pursue a master’s degree. Kearn received his master’s in athletic training in 2017 and got experience working with Rutgers baseball, the New York Giants of the NFL, and Army football.
