2009 (Junior) - Caught six passes for 74 yards with a season-long reception of 23 yards against Wilkes…Had one reception each against Wilkes, Shenandoah, Greensboro, Ferrum, Maryville and Methodist… Named to USA South Academic All-Conference Team.
2008 (Sophomore) - Saw action in all ten games for the Captains...Caught a total of five passes for 112 yards, with two catches for 46 yards against Greensboro and one each versus Maryville, Methodist and Ferrum...Had one solo and one assisted tackle in the Averett game and an assist versus Methodist...Included on the USA South All-Academic team.
2007 (Freshman) - Saw action in five of the Captains’ ten contests, including the last four in a row...Had a solo tackle against N.C. Wesleyan and added assists in the Ferrum and Averett contests.
AT OSBOURN - Named second team All-Cedar Run District at both wide receiver and defensive back as a senior after earning honorable mention honors in his sophomore season...Also second team all-area for coach Steve Schultze as well as team captain...The Eagles won the Division 6 State Championship...He had 34 receptions for 597 yards and eight touchdowns along with 45 tackles, two interceptions and a blocked field goal...Also played basketball...An Honor Roll member for four years, SCA Vice President, co-Editor-in-Chief of the school newspaper...Also a Peer Mentor and a volunteer referee.
PERSONAL - Scott Matthew Arvai was born Dec. 20, 1988 in Fairfax, Va...He is the son of Jay and Maureen Arvai and is majoring in Communications...His father played football at Richmond from 1976-80 and brother Kevin, 25, played football at Lycoming from 2004-06...Also has a sister Shannon, 20.
