2009 - Junior Year - Second team all-region shortstop, as well as
second team all-Virginia Division II-III and first team all-USA South...
Made the conference all-tournament team as well...Collected three
hits against Randolph-Macon and York (Pa.), and two hits in nine other games...Led CNU in stolen bases with 21 in 22 attempts...Had two each in games with UVa-Wise, Meredith and Averett.

2008 - Sophomore Year - Another outstanding season which saw her
earn second team all-Virginia Division II-III honors as well as honorable mention all-USA South...Second on the team in hitting with a .397 mark...She had four hits in the USA South Tournament championship game win over Greensboro and three each versus Methodist and Averett twice...Also had 12 two-hit contests...Led the squad in stolen bases with 26 in 28 tries with three in games with Rutgers-Newark, Averett and Meredith.

2007 - Freshman Year - Began her CNU career by being the Captains’ second leading hitter with a .425 average and earning honorable mention all-USA South honors at shortstop...Set a new school record with a 24-game hitting streak, in the first 24 games of her career...Her 65 hits tied for the fifth highest total ever at CNU...Banged out four hits against King’s and had three-hit games against Peace, Mary Washington, Virginia Wesleyan, Lynchburg and Shenandoah...Also added 14 other two-hit games...Stole 28 bases in 30 tries with three on opening day against Guilford.

AT MIDLOTHIAN - A second team all-state selection in her senior
year...She was first team all-region twice and honorable mention once as well as first team all-Dominion District for three seasons...Was also a first team all-Metro choice twice, team captain and MVP as a senior and Dominion District Player of the Year in her final season...Played in the Virginia High School Coaches Association all-star game...An Honor Roll student and member of the Latin and Spirit Clubs.

PERSONAL - Mary Rose Kennedy was born April 15, 1988 in Richmond, Va...She is the daughter of Steve and Kathy Kennedy and is majoring in Business Marketing...Has a brother Scott, 27 and a sister Anne, 24.
