2007 - Junior Year - Platooned at first base, making 12 starts in her 38 appearances...Recorded two hits each, in games against Arcadia and Polytechnic and had RBIs in the Guilford and Arcadia games...A member of the USA South all-academic team.
2006 - Sophomore Year - Made 14 starts in the 30 games in which she played, platooning with Susan Ishman at first base...Had four hits and an RBI against Guilford and two, including a double, versus Greensboro...A Dean’s List student in the Spring semester.
2005 - Freshman Year - Split time in the starting lineup between designated hitter and first base right from the beginning of the year, and was in the starting lineup for all but one game all season... Had three hits in a game against Guilford early in the year and had another three-hit game later against Chowan...Also had two hits in four other games...One of those, against Southern Virginia, included a double, home run and two RBIs...That home run was the first ever for CNU at its new stadium...Also had two RBIs, and a double, in the three-hit game with Chowan...Made just two errors in 155 chances...Was hit by a pitch nine times, ranking 23rd in the nation in Division III at 0.19 per game.
AT GREEN RUN - A second team All-Beach District selection for coaches Dessaro and Sohannessen...The previous year she was Honorable Mention...She was also co-MVP of the team as a senior...Also an all-district field hockey player and played basketball and ran cross country...A National Honor Society member for three years.
PERSONAL - Kathryn Hannah Brown was born Aug. 23, 1986 in Virginia Beach, Va...She is the daughter of Alex and Julie Brown and is majoring in Social Work...She has three brothers, Daniel, 19; Alex, 23 and Malcolm, 10 and two sisters, Becca, 18 and Iman, 11.
