Will Orbin comes to CNU following two seasons at Louisburg College in North Carolina, and will be an important part of the Captains offensive staff specializing on the offensive line.
Orbin served as the offensive coordinator the last two seasons at Louisburg. Under Orbin’s leadership, the 2015 Hurricanes offense was the top rushing offense in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and one of the most productive overall offenses in the nation. Orbin’s Louisburg squad finished #1 rushing in the nation (2015) and #3 in rushing (2016), #3 in scoring offense (2016) and #9 in scoring offense (2015), #6 in total offense (2016) and #14 in total offense (2015)…and broke or tied most offensive records in school history.
Orbin has 23 years of coaching experience, including tenure as a high school head football coach, offensive coordinator and as a coach in two Division I college football programs (Indiana State and Elon). He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps (1988-1992), where he served in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm and Operation Just Cause. He holds a bachelor’s degree from N.C. State University and a post-baccalaureate certification in special education from the University of Georgia.
