Tyler Wills joined the staff at Christopher Newport in the summer of 2024, and works with CNU's tight ends and running backs.
Wills joined Paul Crowley's staff after being an Assistant coach at Averett University during the 2022 and 2023 seasons, serving as the running backs coach for the Cougars during the 2022 season before moving to tight ends and recruiting coordinator in spring of 2023.
Wills played four seasons at Emory & Henry College from 2018-21, playing an the offensive line and also serving as a long snapper. While at Emory & Henry, Wills was a National Hampshire Honors Society All-American. He also served as a student coach during part of the 2021 season, overseeing the long snappers and kickers.
A native of Rochelle, Virginia, Wills earned his Bachelor of Arts in health and human performance from Emory & Henry in spring 2022, and his master's degree in business administration from Averett in spring of 2024.
