Taylor Loudan

Taylor Loudan, one of the top Wide Receivers in Christopher Newport football history, is in his third season on the coaching staff of Art Link.  Loudan, a native of Stephens City, Va., is the Captains Video Coordinator and Running Backs coach.

Loudan graduated from Christopher Newport in May of 2016 with a degree in business. He is the Captains’ all-time leader in receptions with 179, and caught 20 scoring passes in his career. Loudan also posted over 1,000 yards receiving in each of his last two seasons, becoming the first Christopher Newport student-athlete to accomplish the feat.

In back-to-back years in 2015 and 2016, the Touchdown Club of Richmond named Loudan its Division II/III Offensive End of the Year. Loudan, who collected second team All-Region honors from D3football.com, was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2016.

Loudan set the program record for receptions in a season with 82 in 2016. He led the NJAC in receiving yards per game (101.7 ypg) and scored nine touchdowns including eight through the air. In addition to his pass-catching skills, Loudan was also the league leader in punt return average and ranked third in the NJAC in all-purpose yardage. Loudan registered five 100-yard receiving performances his senior season, including an 11-catch, 161-yard performance at Hampden-Sydney as the Captains broke the record for passing yards in a game against the Tigers.
