BRIAN STROUP begins his second season on the Captains sideline after serving as a student defensive assistant last year.
Stroup, who had an outstanding playing career as an offensive lineman with the Captains from 2005-08, will focus primarily on the squad's defensive tackles.
A Newport News native, Stroup played his high school ball at Woodside.
