Biography

2009 (Junior) - The Captains’ top tackler for the second year in a row…Earned First Team All-USA South honors at linebacker and First Team All-State…2010 D3 Senior Classic Preseason All-American…Career-high 90 tackles in 2009, including 39 solo and nine for a loss of yards…Ranked third in the USA South in total tackles and among the league’s top ten in total tackles for a loss…Notched two sacks for four yards and also broke up one pass…Season-high 16 tackles against Maryville while adding 13 against Ferrum, including a season-high 10 solo…Nine tackles for a loss of 23 yards in 2009.
2008 (Sophomore) - The Captains’ top tackler, which helped him win several post-season awards...Had 35 solo tackles and 40 assists, including an outstanding day against Ferrum in which he had a total of 14 tackles with five solos...He then added five more solos and seven assists in CNU’s NCAA playoff game at Washington & Jefferson...Also had five solos each versus Greensboro and Maryville with six assists in the Maryville contest...Made a total of 8.5 tackles for losses with three coming against Maryville and had a sack in the Ferrum game...Forced fumbles versus Maryville and Methodist and broke up a pass in the Shenandoah game...It all earned him first team All-USA South and Virginia Division II-III honors.
2007 (Freshman) - Named USA South Defensive Rookie of the Year and Second Team All-Conference at linebacker...Had two straight games in which he had six solo tackles, against Maryville and Methodist...Added four assists in the Maryville contest and two versus Methodist...Also had three unassisted tackles in games with Rowan, Mary Hardin-Baylor and Ferrum and four assists against Rowan and Mary Hardin-Baylor...A total of 6.5 tackles for loss with 3.5 versus Maryville and three sacks including two in the Methodist game...Recovered a fumble and broke up a pass versus Averett
AT SMITHFIELD - Second Team All-State as a senior as well as first team all-region and first team all-Bay Rivers District...Played in the Virginia High School Coaches Association (VHSCA) all-star game...Played for coach Chris Fraser and was also a wrestler.
