Biography

2008 - Senior Season - Became just the second three-time All-Region selection in program history after hauling in second-team honors from the NFHCA … Also picked up first-team All-State plaudits for her efforts … Took part in all 20 games and earned 19 starts while leading the squad with 24 points and nine goals … Scored both goals, including the game-winner, during the team’s first-round bout with No. 17 Johns Hopkins in the NCAA Tournament on November 12 … Also had two strikes in the regular season finale against Frostburg State on November 2, becoming just the sixth Captain to register multiple goals in back-to-back appearances … Contributed two assists, including one on the overtime clincher, during a marathon battle with Lynchburg on October 8 … Had at least one point in four of the squad’s first seven contests, including a goal and an assist against Randolph-Macon on September 17 … Tormented nationally-ranked opponents with strikes against No. 3 Salisbury on September 10 and No. 5 Ursinus on October 13 … Became the first player in program history to score a goal against two teams ranked in the top-five nationally in a single season … Graduated as the school’s all-time leader with 30 career assists while slotting second with 94 points and fourth with 32 goals.
 
2007 - Junior Season - Brought home second-team All-State and All-Region nods for her efforts during the season … Led the team with 10 goals and 11 assists … Ranked 11th in the NCAA with a 0.58 assists-per-game average … Erupted for two goals at Catawba on September 2 and Randolph-Macon on September 12 … Scored the game-winning goal in three of the team’s first five contests, including a huge second-half rocket during a 2-1 win over No. 6 Salisbury on September 5 … Contributed at least one goal and one assist in three straight appearances from September 12-23 … Handed out two assists in victories over McDaniel on October 9 and Frostburg State on November 3 … Had at least one point in 14 of her 19 appearances during the season … Finished the year with 65 total shots and put 37 on target.
 
2006 - Sophomore Season - Put together a record-breaking campaign during her second year with the Captains … Established a new school standard with 13 assists, while her 33 total points ranked fifth in program history … Collected first-team All-State and second-team All-Region accolades for her work … Scored arguably the most famous goal in program history after converting an overtime strike against No. 7 Salisbury in the NCAA Sweet 16 on November 11, which officially dethroned the three-time defending national champions and handed the Sea Gulls their first loss in the national playoffs in four years ... Also dished out an assist in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against No. 17 Alvernia on November 8 and eventually started all three bouts during the playoffs … Named to the WomensFieldHockey.com Weekly National Honor Roll for her work during the postseason on November 13 … Tied the single-game program record with four assists against Roanoke on September 17 … Came through with a season-high six points during a win against Randolph-Macon on September 13 … Also had multi-goal showings at Eastern Mennonite on September 28 and Washington & Lee on October 22 … Recorded two assists and scored the game-winning goal against Johns Hopkins on September 10 … Contributed at least one point in 11 of her 18 appearances during the season.
 
2005 - Freshman Season - Made an immediate impact during her first year in Newport News … Took part in all 16 games and made a start in an early-season bout against Bridgewater on September 11 … Posted her first two collegiate goals, including one on a penalty stroke, during an offensive showcase at Sweet Briar on September 21 … Also found the back of the cage in a win at Randolph-Macon on September 28 … Uncorked 16 shots during the season, including seven on-target attempts.
 
At Menchville - Played three years for coach Kelly Weed … Collected second-team All-District and honorable mention All-Region accolades while playing in the All-Star Game as a junior … Also was a first-team All-District selection and earned a spot on the Falcon Invitational All-Tournament Team as a senior.
