After wrapping up an award-winning career as a member of the Captains, Maddison Steele will begin her first year as an assistant coach in 2025.

One of the most electric offensive standouts in program history, Steele polished off her career with a decorated senior season. During the 2024 campaign, she was hailed as a first-team All-Conference performer and secured second-team All-State and All-Region accolades. Lighting up the competition, she ranked second in the league with 11 goals while producing 28 total points. Her four game-winning tallies also equaled the seventh-most in program history.

Appearing in 71 games during her career, Steele helped lead CNU to four straight NCAA Tournament appearances, including a run to the Elite Eight in 2024. Making the most of her time on the field, she finished her tenure ranked fifth in school history with nine game-winning goals, eighth with 32 total strikes, and 10th with 79 points.

A native of Hampton, Virginia, Steele graduated from CNU with a degree in kinesiology and a minor in health, medical, and wellness studies.
