Taylor Macina

Taylor Macina returned to her alma mater and was named the head coach of the CNU Storm Dance Team in 2016 after serving as an assistant coach from 2014-16.
 
Macina was a member of the CNU Storm all four years and joined the coaching staff as an assistant following the conclusion of her collegiate dance career in 2014. She served as an assistant coach with the Storm for two seasons and helped guide the Captains to a 6th place finish at the Annual NDA Collegiate Dance Team National Championship in the spring of 2016.
 
Macina graduated from Christopher Newport in 2014 with a degree in English Literature and also double-minored in Psychology and Linguistics. She went on to continue her education, earning a Master's degree in Secondary Education, parlaying that degree into a full-time teaching position in Chesapeake Public Schools.
 
As a member of the CNU Storm, Macina was named team Captain during her junior season and helped the team post a 5th place finish at nationals. During her tenure as team captain, she helped facilitate practices, organize fundraisers, and support fellow student-athletes. She was also an active member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
