Biography

2008 - Junior Year - Named second team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association and d3baseball.com after a fabulous season which also saw him receive regional Player of the Year honors from the ABCA...Also Player of the Year in the USA South...Hit .427, the fourth highest average in CNU history, including a schoolrecord 30 game hitting streak...Hit .504 during that streak...Had 23 multi-hit games with four each against Randolph-Macon and Pace and had eight three-hit games...Led CNU with 62 RBIs, third best in school history, and was co-leader with ten home runs...Nationally his 21 doubles were 17th best...In total bases he was tenth with 132 and the 62 RBIs  were 15th...Had a six RBI game against Randolph- Macon including two doubles and a home run.

2007 - Sophomore Year - Improved from honorable mention to second team all-USA South after leading the Captains in hitting with a .323 mark, giving him the same average in both of his two seasons at CNU...Had a four-hit game in the USA South Tournament against Ferrum, and added three hits each versus Eastern Mennonite, Southern Virginia, Hampden-Sydney, Castleton St. and Lynchburg...Even had 11 other two-hit games...Also paced CNU with 37 RBIs including four each in games with Piedmont and Ferrum in the USA South Tournament...Smashed three home runs, against Shenandoah, Piedmont and N.C. Wesleyan.

 

2006 - Freshman Year - Began his CNU career in fine fashion, hitting .323 and doing a great job defensively at shortstop...For his efforts he was named honorable mention all-USA South shortstop...Had ten multi-hit games, including three each against Ferrum and Salisbury...After a slow start, he hit .385 over the last 18 games...Had two RBIs each in games with Averett and Methodist and hit home runs versus Ferrum and Greensboro in the USA South Tournament which helped him earn all-tournament honors.

 

AT GREAT BRIDGE - Earned first team all-region and all-Southeastern District as a junior and was a second team all-district player in his senior season...Also selected first team all-Tidewater as a junior...Played for coach Wiley Lee...The Wildcats were Virginia Group AAA State Champions in his sophomore season...A member of the National Honor Society, a Tidewater Athletic-Scholar and a State Farm Student-Athlete...Did volunteer work with the Red Cross.
