2008 - Junior Year - Bounced back from elbow surgery to have a fine season...Rejoined the team on Feb. 29, going five innings with five strikeouts, four hits and two runs, getting a win over Ramapo... Later had wins overGuilford and Methodist in a USA South Tournament game...In that game he went eight innings allowing five hits, two runs and striking out six...Also pitched eight strong innings in the NCAA Regionals against Salisbury, allowing just one earned run, five hits and fanning five.

2007 - Sophomore Year - Had his season cut short by an elbow injury that required Tommy John surgery....Had been on his way to an outstanding year with a 3-1 record and 2.06 ERA in 35 innings...Pitched six innings of four-hit shutout ball against nationally ranked Emory and went five innings allowing just four hits and no runs versus Hampden-Sydney...Also had good outings versus Averett with four hits and one run over six innings and Greensboro with just five hits.   ing William H.S.

2006 - Freshman Year - Made appearances in four games, twice against Shenandoah and once each versus Randolph-Macon and Salisbury...Hurled an inning each time and posted strikeouts in the two Shenandoah contests.

AT CHANTILLY - A first team all-region choice as a senior and second team in his junior season playing for coach Gorlan Cooper...Named first team all-Concorde District both years...Had a 13-5-2 career record on the mound with a 1.89 ERA...Added 123 strikeouts and just 32 walks...Also an all-district track athlete for three years...A member of the marching band.

PERSONAL - Kyle Robert Baumann was born March 12, 1987 in Fairfax, Va...The Biology major is the son of Janice and Leigh Baumann...He has a sister Jenna, 18.
