2007 - Sophomore Year - Became the starting third baseman...Had eight multi-hit games and drove in three runs in games with Hampden-Sydney, Greensboro and Mary Washington.

2006 - Freshman Year - Played in 15 games, with ten starts, in his freshman season...Had a pair of hits against Averett, including a double...Also had a double and an RBI versus Bridgewater and another RBI in the Averett game.

AT PRINCESS ANNE - Earned first team allstate, all-region and all-Beach District honors as a senior playing for coach Jimmy Hunt...Second team all-district as a junior and honorable mention in his sophomore year...The Cavaliers won the state Group AAA championship in his last season... An Honor Roll student and graduated with honors...A member of the Spanish Club...He participated in a church mission trip to Mexico.

PERSONAL - William Alexander Owen was born Aug. 14, 1987 in Takoma Park, Md...The son of William and Lynne Owen has not yet declared a major...Has two brothers, Conally, 17 and Joseph, 13 and a sister Kathryn, 19...Previously attended VMI.
