McGregor Named State Farm Student-Athlete of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Christopher Newport University men's lacrosse player Andy McGregor has been named the State Farm Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of April 26, 2010.

McGregor, a freshman from Springfield, VA, broke the single season saves record this weekend against Virginia Wesleyan with 155 with one game still to go in the 2010 season. McGregor had a stellar performance Saturday night against Virginia Wesleyan, recording a career high 19 saves in the game.

The lacrosse team is currently 7-8 on the season and will travel to Maryland take on St. Mary’s College Saturday May 1st.
