2021-22 - Senior Season:
Cross Country - Set a new 6k PR at the Paul Short Run after completing the race in 26:24.7 … Came back with a 28:56.2 mark at the Inter-Regional Border Battle in October.
Track & Field - Did not see action during the winter or spring campaigns.
 
2020-21 - Junior Season:
Cross Country - Did not compete in the fall following a decision by the NCAA and Capital Athletic Conference to suspend athletic competitions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Track & Field - Did not see action in the spring.

2019-20 - Sophomore Season:
Cross Country - Finished 58th at the CAC Championships after completing the course in 29:45.4 … Posted her fastest clocking in the 6k at the CNU Invitational after finishing 16th overall in 27:07.0 … Came in eighth in the 4k at the UMW Opener with a 16:06.7 clocking … Also added a 22:59.3 mark in the 5k at the Hornet Harrier Challenge.
Track & Field - Collected second-team All-Conference honors after helping the Distance Medley Relay place second at the CAC Championships with a time of 13:05.94 … Registered her fastest time in the 800 (2:34.04) while coming in ninth overall at the Vince Brown Invitational … Also finished eighth in the 800 at the CNU Holiday Open after kicking off the indoor campaign with a 2:35.61 mark.

2018-19 - Freshman Season:
Cross Country - Made her collegiate debut at the Mary Washington Opener … Took part in the 4k and finished eighth overall with a time of 16:06.7.
Track & Field - Did not see action in the winter or spring during her first year with the Captains.

At Dominion - Competed in multiple sports during her time in high school … Was the MVP of the cross country team as well as both the indoor and outdoor track & field squads during her senior year … Also served as a team captain in all three sports … Placed seventh at the state championships in the 4x800-relay … Spent two years as a member of the lacrosse team and also saw action on the volleyball squad as a freshman.

Personal - MacKenzie Morgan Garner is the daughter of Jim and Dallas Garner … Has a brother, Zachary … Her dream vacation would be a trip to Africa … “The Best of Me” is her favorite movie, and “The Office” is her favorite TV show … Billie Eilish is her favorite musician … Majoring in psychology.
