2019-20 - Senior Season:
Cross Country - Punctuated his career with a dominant season while securing All-Region accolades to go along with first-team All-Conference honors … Finished fourth at the CAC Championships after clocking in at 27:15.1 during the 8k … Capped off the year with a 15th-place showing at the NCAA South / Southeast Regionals in 25:38.3 … Had his top time of the season in the 8k at the Connecticut College Invitational after crossing the line in 25:26.0 … Finished ninth in the 6k at the William & Mary Invitational with a mark of 19:46.9 … That performance earned him the CAC Cross Country Athlete of the Week Award on September 16 … Also finished the 8k in 25:27.3 during the Paul Short Run … Garnered USTFCCCA National All-Academic honors for his work in the classroom as well.
Track & Field - Grabbed a pair of league titles during a sensational showcase at the CAC Indoor Championships … Won the mile in 4:25.49 and the 3000 in 8:43.03 … Registered a PR in the 3000 during the Tufts National Qualifier with an 8:42.23 mark … That clocking also earned him All-Region honors and ranked fifth in the South / Southeast … Tallied his top mile time of the year at the Camel City Invitational after finishing in 4:21.93 … Posted four top-five finishes during the winter campaign, including a triumph in the 3000 at the Captains Invitational.

2018-19 - Junior Season:
Cross Country - Earned All-Region accolades after capping off the year with a time of 26:41.0 at the South / Southeast Championships … That clocking placed him 31st overall … Also came in 18th at the CAC Championships with a time of 27:40.7 … Had his best 8k time of the year at the Paul Short Run after clocking in at 26:17.4 … Excelled on short courses as well while finishing fourth in the 3k at the CNU Invitational (9:25.1) and sixth in the 5k at the Mary Washington Opener (15:47.5) … Received USTFCCCA National All-Academic honors for his work in the classroom as well.
Track & Field - Tallied a pair of top-10 finishes at the CAC Outdoor Championships after coming in fourth in the 1500 (4:04.84) and sixth in the 5000 (15:54.56) … Came in fifth in the mile during the indoor title meet as well (4:33.67) … Established a PR in the 5000 at the New Captains Classic with a 15:13.60 mark … Also added his top performance of the year in the 800 during that meet with a 1:59.01 clocking …  Won the 1500 at the Blue & Silver Challenge after crossing the line in 4:01.05 … Had eight top-five finishes during the year.

2017-18 - Sophomore Season:
Cross Country -
Received All-Conference and All-Region nods for his efforts during the year ... Finished 12th at the CAC Championships in 25:55.4 before coming in 27th at the South / Southeast Regionals in 25:22.4 ... Finished 10th in the 5k during the Mary Washington Opener and 49th in the 6k at the William & Mary Invitational ... Also took part in the 8k during the Paul Short Run ... Secured a spot on the USTFCCCA National All-Academic Team for his work in the classroom as well.
Track & Field - Picked up All-Conference and All-Region plaudits in the outdoor 1500 ... Placed second in the event at the CAC Outdoor Championships in 3:59.30 ... Came back with his top effort in the 1500 at the Swathmore Final Qualifier after finishing in 3:54.89 ... Also placed 12th in both the 800 (2:01.53) and 5000 (15:14.05) during the outdoor league meet ... Established a PR in the 800 during the New Captains Classic (1:57.83) ... Added a pair of top-five finishes during the CAC Indoor Championships ... Came in third in the mile (4:21.47) and fourth in the DMR (10:43.07) ... Also ran the 3000 at the league meet and placed 16th in 9:10.74 ... Had eight top-five efforts during the year.
 
2016-17 - Freshman Season:
Cross Country - Made an impressive debut with the Captains, earning first-team All-Conference honors … Placed eighth at the CAC Championships with a time of 26:47.0 … Came back to compete in the NCAA Championships, helping the Captains place 11th as a team after completing the course in 26:07.1 …  Posted his top time in the 8k with a 26:44.0 mark at the CNU Invitational … Also competed in the 8k at the Don Cathcart Invitational and the 6k at the William & Mary Invitational.
Track & Field - Collected a pair of All-Conference honors at the CAC Indoor Championships, including a second-place finish in the mile with a 4:22.18 clocking … Helped the DMR win the league title after guiding the foursome to a time of 10:42.45 … Continued his solid work on the DMR during the outdoor season, leading the relay unit to a school-record time of 10:17.62 at the Colonial Relays … Finished sixth in the 1500 and 12th in the 5000 during the CAC Outdoor Championships … Notched a season-best time of 3:57.99 in the 1500 at the Liberty Twilight and posted his best clocking in the 5000 with a time of 15:14.70 at the Swarthmore Final Qualifier … Also took part in the 800 and 3000 during the spring season.

At Southeast Raleigh - Competed on the cross country and track & field teams with the Bulldogs.

Personal - Jason Watson Putnam is the son of Zeph Putnam and Brenda Watson ... Has an older brother, Zeph Putnam II ... His dream vacation would be a trip to Japan ... "The Spongebob Squarepants Movie" is his favorite film ... Anderson Paak is his favorite musician ... Majoring in neuroscience.
