2010 – Junior Season – Named to the USA South All-Tournament Team…Earned second team USA South All-Conference honors… Started all 19 games… Second on the team with 34 ground balls…Earned 13 caused turnovers…Picked up seven draw controls…Had one assist, six ground balls, two draw controls and three caused turnovers in 18-7 win over Guilford…

2009 - Sophomore Season - Played in 11 games, making five starts...Scored goals against Greensboro and Roanoke...Had two ground balls versus Shenandoah and Roanoke and caused two turnovers in the Cortland St., Mary Washington and Roanoke games....

2008 - Freshman Season - Became an immediate starter in her first year with CNU...Scored three goals against Methodist and had two more in a game with Greensboro...Also added five assists... Picked up 20 ground balls with a high of three in games versus Buffalo St., Randolph-Macon and Mary Washington and caused 14 turnovers topped by three each against Roanoke and Methodist...

AT STEPHEN DECATUR - Earned second team all-Bayside Conference honors in her final two years after taking honorable mention as a sophomore...She was coach Bob Musitano’s defensive MVP as a senior...The team won two conference championships as was state runner-up...A member of Minds in Motion, an academic award for athletes who achieved a top GPA...Also a National Honor Society member as well as SGA...Also did work with the Connections Club...
 
PERSONAL - Morgan Julia Layton was born July 21, 1989 in Ocean City, Md...She is the daughter of Pam and Larry Layton...Has not yet chosen a major...Has a brother Bobby, 15 and two sisters, Lisa, 29 and Shelby, 17.
