2018 - Sophomore Season - Continued building an impressive résumé as a top-flight outside hitter … Started 16 matches and appeared in 29 during her second season with the Captains … Averaged 2.00 kills per set while boasting a .232 hitting percentage … Her .232 average marked the highest by an outside hitter since 2015 … Finished with 188 total kills during the year … Had eight double-digit kill outings and hit above .300 in each of those contests … Clubbed a season-high 14 kills while hitting at a .440 clip against Neumann on September 29 … Also had 11 kills on just 16 swings earlier in the day against Lebanon Valley during an electric doubleheader … Unloaded 10 kills on 12 attempts against Messiah on October 6 before firing 10 more darts on 15 swings against Averett on October 27 … Drilled 12 kills during the CAC Semifinals against York (Pa.) on November 1 … Continued her postseason run with 10 more rockets against Bethany in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on November 9 … Had at least five kills in 18 of her outings during the year … Also was  key factor on serve-receive while compiling a .945 reception percentage … Converted a season-high 13 reception attempts against William Peace on September 26 … Was flawless on 39 straight attempts from September 29 - October 6 and finished the year by converting 19 straight reception attempts … Also pocketed 53 digs during the year, including five on three occasions … Helped out defensively along the net as well with 35 blocks … Sent back six attack attempts against St. Mary’s (Md.) on October 5 … Had at least two rejections in nine of her appearances, including three postseason outings … Notched three blocks against Mary Washington in the CAC Championship on November 3 before adding three more stops in the second round of the NCAA Tournament against No. 7 Thomas More on November 10 … Finished the year with 206.5 total points while averaging 2.20 per set.

2017 - Freshman Season - Made a smooth transition to college, appearing in all 32 matches while earning 28 starts during her first campaign … Ranked third on the team with 217 kills and averaged 1.95 blasts per set … Drilled at least 10 kills on six occasions, including 14 darts against No. 19 Eastern on September 16 … Also had 14 kills against Wesleyan (Conn.) on September 23 … Blistered 13 blasts against No. 9 Juniata on September 22 and eventually earned a spot on the CNU Invitational All-Tournament Team for her work … Stepped up on the national stage as well, unloading 10 kills without a single attack error in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against Thomas More on November 9 … Picked up three double-doubles during the year and had four total double-digit dig efforts … Pocketed a season-high 16 digs during the squad’s five-set victory over No. 9 Juniata … Finished the year with 109 total digs and also ranked second on the squad with a .970 reception percentage … Converted 160 of her 165 reception attempts during the year, including a season-high 26 against Juniata … Successfully converted at least 10 reception attempts in six straight appearances from September 16-26 … Also pumped 11 aces during the year and tallied 43 blocks … Had at least two rejections in three straight postseason outings from November 2-9.

At Lafayette - Excelled for four years as an outside hitter with the Rams … Collected All-State accolades during each of her first three campaigns … Also was a three-time All-Region selection and a four-time All-Conference pick for her work on the court … Helped lead the team to the state semifinals as a freshman and the quarterfinals as a sophomore. 

Personal - Abigail Lynn Oren is the daughter of Tom and Jane Oren … She has an older sister, Hannah … Hails from an athletic family, including her father, who played basketball at Rollins College … Her cousin, Lauren Richardson, was also an All-Conference volleyball player at Florida State, while her other cousins Sarah, Emily, and Molly Oren competed collegiately in cross country … Her favorite athlete is Serena Williams, and her mom is the most impressive person she has ever met … Audrey Hepburn is the person in history she would most like to meet, while “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” is her favorite movie … Ron Chernow’s “Alexander Hamilton” is her favorite book … Her goal in life is to be happy … Undecided on a major.
