2016 - Junior - Put together one of the finest seasons by a quarterback in CNU history … Collected first-team All-Conference honors and second-team All-State accolades for his efforts during the year … Established new single-season program records with 194 completions, 303 pass attempts, and a 64 percent competition percentage … His 2,272 yards through the air also led the NJAC and placed him second on the program’s all-time charts, while his 18 passing touchdowns put him third in school history … Broke the single-game record for passing yards twice during the year … Set a new school mark with 355 yards through the air against Hampden-Sydney on September 10 … Shattered his own record one week later with 400 yards and three touchdowns during the team’s victory over No. 17 Wesley on September 17 … Fired three touchdowns against Montclair State on October 15 and Southern Virginia on November 12 as well … Tossed at least one touchdown in nine of his 10 appearances and also scored six times on the ground … Posted a pair of rushing touchdowns at Hampden-Sydney and notched a season-high 40 yards rushing at William Paterson on November 5 … Led the NJAC with 2,404 yards of total offense and ranked second on the Captains in scoring … Completed at least 20 passes on five occasions, including a school-record 30 against Wesley … Eclipsed 200 yards passing five times during the season.

2015 - Sophomore - Appeared in three games during his second season with the Captains...Rushed the ball twice against Frostburg State on October 24, picking up 14 yards...Also saw game time at nationally-ranked Salisbury on October 31 and at Southern Virginia on November 14

2014 - Freshman - Did not see any action in his first year at CNU.

At Dinwiddie - Excelled as a quarterback for the Generals for four seasons … Collected first-team All-District, All-Conference, and All-State accolades during his senior campaign … Helped lead the squad to the state championship in 2013 after winning the central region title during his freshman season.
 
Personal - Ronald Thomas Kearney, Jr. was born in Petersburg, Va. and goes by the nickname "K.J."...Son of Shelia Kearney and Ron Kearney...Has two older brothers, Twann Paige and Lester Jones...“The Avengers” is his favorite movie...His goal in life is to be a positive influence on others...His dream vacation would be a trip to Turks and Caicos...Double majoring in Business Management and Accounting.
