2016 - Sophomore Season - Stepped into a starting role and rewarded the Captains with a breakout campaign during her second year in Newport News … Secured second-team All-Conference honors for her work on the field … Compiled a .333 batting average during the season, including a .373 mark in league action, which ranked second on the team … Clubbed 10 extra-base hits, including three home runs, while standing third on the squad with a .474 slugging percentage … Registered 11 multi-hit outings, including a 4-for-5 effort at York (Pa.) on April 2 … Also ripped three hits in five at-bats against Frostburg State on April 10 … Reached base safely in 16 straight games from March 26-April 13, including a season-long nine-game hitting streak … Launched her first collegiate home run with a three-run shot at Lynchburg on February 27 … Also went deep at Roanoke on March 21 and against No. 9 Salisbury on March 26 … Was perfect on the base paths after swiping 12 bags in 12 attempts … Stole a pair at Penn State Harrisburg on April 3 and added two more against Frostburg State on April 10 … Wrapped up the year with two hits, one run, and an RBI in the NCAA Regionals against Messiah on May 14 … Finished the season with 18 RBI and 30 runs scored.
