2015 - Senior Season - Capped off her career by earning second-team AVCA All-American honors for the second straight season … Also was a first-team All-Conference, All-State, and All-Region selection … Ranked 14th in the nation and first in the league with a 10.65 assists-per-set average … That mark also placed her third on the program’s all-time single-season list … Helped the Captains finish with a .254 team hitting percentage, which ranked seventh in the NCAA … Finished the season with 1,225 assists and had 40 helpers on 13 occasions … Posted a career-high 62 assists against No. 4 Emory on September 25, which marked the seventh-highest single-match total in CNU history and the highest in the rally-scoring era … Honored as the MVP of the Captains Classic after opening the season with 143 assists during the four-match tournament … Collected CAC Player of the Week plaudits for those efforts as well ... Also earned a spot on the CNU Invitational All-Tournament team, which included a pair of 38-assist efforts against No. 4 Juniata on September 18 and Bethany on September 19 … Had at least 50 assists on five occasions, including 58 versus St. Benedict on September 11 … Capped off her career with a 50-assist outing against Randolph-Macon in the NCAA Tournament as well … Contributed six double-doubles during the year and had a season-best 14-dig effort in the CAC semifinals against St. Mary’s (Md.) on November 5 … Came through with 50 blocks during the year as well, including four at Washington Lee on September 26 and at St. Mary’s (Md.) on October 18 … Laced 35 aces and had a season-high four against Emory … Unleashed three winners in three straight matches from September 11-12 … Also added 99 kills during the season, including eight against Randolph-Macon on September 26.

2014 - Junior Season - Pieced together one of the most decorated seasons in CNU history … Honored as the CAC Player of the Year and was a first-team All-Conference, All-State, and All-Region selection … Also earned a spot on the second-team AVCA All-American squad … Led the CAC and finished 17th in the nation with 1,252 assists … Her 10.02 assists-per-set average also ranked seventh on the program’s all-time single-season list … Starred in the early-season tournaments, earning All-Tournament honors during the CNU Invitational, Pikes Peak Challenge, and Mary Washington Invitational … Also was named the MVP of the prestigious Juniata / ASICS Invitational … Collected back-to-back CAC Player of the Week accolades on September 23 and 30 … Registered seven double-doubles during the year, including her first two during a twin bill on September 5 against No. 11 Eastern and Geneva … Had 40 assists and 15 digs in the opener against the Eagles before notching 35 helpers and 10 digs in the nightcap against the Golden Tornadoes … Also had two straight double-doubles against Berry on September 12 and Johns Hopkins on September 13 during the CNU Invitational … Established a new career-high with 55 assists during the CAC opener against Salisbury on September 30 … Pieced together a memorable postseason run and earned a spot on the NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team … Kicked off her late-season surge with 48 assists and 13 digs against St. Mary’s in the CAC Semifinals on November 6 … Also added a highlight-reel kill late in the fifth set against the Seahawks to stave off match-point and help the Captains record the victory … Added 37 assists against Salisbury in the championship bout on November 8 as well … Opened up a tremendous Regional run with 35 assists in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against Gallaudet on November 14 … Also added 40 helpers against Stevenson in the second round on November 15 before contributing 27 assists and five blocks against Eastern in the regional championship … Capped off the season with 28 assists and three blocks against No. 1 Calvin in the Elite Eight … Finished the year ranked second on the team with 229 digs … Also contributed 71 blocks to round out a well-balanced defensive effort.

2013 - Sophomore Season - Had a breakout campaign during her second year with the Captains, earning second-team All-Conference and All-State accolades … Saw action in 37 matches and 131 sets during the year while leading the team with 844 assists … Posted a double-double in her season debut with 31 assists and 13 digs against Berry on August 30 … Eventually compiled 70 assists, 18 digs, and seven blocks during the Captains Classic from August 30-31 and earned a spot on the All-Tournament team … Recorded at least 10 assists in every match during the year and had 20 in six straight contests from September 7-14 … Earned CAC Player of the Week honors on October 15 and November 5 … Pieced together an outstanding run at the end of the year … Notched at least 30 assists in six straight matches from October 30 - November 15 … Posted a season-high 50 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against Cabrini on November 15 … Also had 45 in the semifinals of the CAC Tournament against Marymount on November 7 … Recorded two double-doubles near the end of the year after finishing with 36 assists and 11 digs against Mary Washington on October 30 and 42 assists and 11 digs against Stevenson on November 2 … Ranked third on the team with 32 aces … Slung a season-high five against St. Mary’s on October 23 … Also stood third on the team with 89 blocks, marking the most by a CNU setter since 2000 … Had at least two blocks on 23 occasions, including six against Eastern on September 28 and Southern Virginia on October 8 … Added four more against Eastern in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on November 16 as well.

2012 - Freshman Season - Served as the team’s reserve setter during her first year in Newport News … Saw action in 24 matches and 39 sets during the season … Ranked second on the team with 200 assists and led the way with a .435 set percentage … Made her collegiate debut and recorded an assist and dig during the season opener against Bridgewater on August 31 … Saw her first extensive action of the year against No. 9 Juniata on September 8, dishing out 17 assists to go along with a block and kill during just two sets against the Eagles … Honored as the USA South Rookie of the Week on September 24 following an excellent three-match roll ... Led the Captains with 49 assists during her award-winning week while also chipping in with 10 digs and five aces ... Posted a team-high 16 assists while appearing in just two sets against Ferrum before adding 21 helpers and six digs in a three-set sweep against Meredith on September 22 … Also unloaded five aces during the doubleheader, including a season-high three against Ferrum … Earned her first career start against Greensboro on September 29 … Came through with an outstanding effort against the Pride, posting 28 assists, nine digs, and three blocks during the three-set sweep … Excelled against Endicott on October 14, recording a season-high 31 assists during the Beacons Invitational … Finished her outstanding mid-season run with 15 assists and a pair of aces against Mary Baldwin on October 17 … Had at least 10 assists on eight occasions and multiple aces in four separate matches.

Woodson - Four-year standout for the Cavaliers … Began her career as a defensive specialist before taking the reins as a setter during her final three campaigns … Perennial member of the first-team All-Patriot squad, earning a spot on the team during each of her final three seasons … Selected to the honorable mention All-Region team as a sophomore before garnering first-team nods over the next two seasons … Pieced together a sensational senior season, earning a place on the honorable mention All-State squad … Selected to the 2011 All-Region Tournament team as well … Also served as a sprinter on the varsity track team during her freshman year.

Personal - Rachel Virginia Conway was born on October 8, 1993 in Fairfax, Va. … She is the daughter of Joseph and Lois Conway and has two older siblings - a brother, Jonathan and a sister, Rebecca … Her dream vacation would be to either Bermuda or Italy … The Hunger Games novel and Harry Potter movies are her favorites … Majoring in business at CNU.
