2013 - Junior - Started all 10 games as a tight end for the Captains ... Excelled as a blocker and helped pave the way for a rushing attack that ranked third in the USA South with an average of 213.8 yards per game ... Also contributed in the passing game and hauled in three receptions for 71 yards ... Caught a 51-yard strike against Hampden-Sydney on September 14 ... Also had receptions against Methodist on October 5 and N.C. Wesleyan on October 12.

2012 - Sophomore – Played in 10 games…Helped the offense average over 315 yards per game...Added one tackle against Maryville.

2011 - Freshman - Saw action in two games in his first year against Greensboro and Methodist.

At Liberty – Played four years of football…His junior and senior years for coach Watts…Won the district championship his senior year…A second team All-District tight end his junior and senior years…Also played four years of baseball, three years of basketball and one year of indoor track…Member of the National Honor Society…An honors graduate.

Personal – Matthew John Kerr was born on September 20, 1993 in Elizabeth City, N.C…Son of John and Carol Kerr…Has two sisters, Amanda and Sarah…He enjoys fishing in his spare time...His dream vacation would be a trip to Maldives...Majoring in Business.
