2011 – JUNIOR SEASON - Became CNU’s first ever three-time All-American after garnering third-team AVCA honors following a sensational junior season…Also received the USA South Libero of the Year award while earning first-team AVCA All-South Region and VaSID All-State accolades as well as second-team All-Conference honors…Broke her own single-season record for digs after posting 643 while averaging 4.56 per set…One of only four players in the nation to reach the 40-dig plateau during a four-set match after performing the feat against Carthage on Sept. 9…Eventually finished the year with 33 double-digit dig efforts over the course of 43 matches…Had an incredible streak of 10 straight contests with at least 10 digs from Sept. 23-Oct. 11…After having the streak snapped in the nightcap of a twin bill, she immediately went on a run of seven straight matches with double-digit digs…Eclipsed the 20-dig plateau in three straight three-set matches from Sept. 9-10…Posted 25 digs in a three-set sweep against N.C. Wesleyan on Sept. 20…Matched that total in consecutive contests against Randolph-Macon on Oct. 4 and Juniata on Oct. 7…Finished the year with at least 10 digs in the final seven matches of the season, highlighted by a 21-dig effort against Carthage in the NCAA Tournament semifinals on Nov. 19…Fired 23 aces during the season and had at least one during each of her first six appearances…Launched three winners against California Lutheran on Sept. 3 and had two in back-to-back matches against Stevens Institute on Sept. 4 and Carthage on Sept. 9.
2010 – SOPHOMORE SEASON - A third team All-American selection…Named to the All-South Region team…A first team All-Virginia selection and was named the USA South Libero of the Year…Selected to the NCAA Newport News Regional All-Tournament Team…Was chosen as the USA South Libero of the Week once during the season…Was selected for the Trinity Fall Classic and CNU Invitational All-Tournament teams…Played every set for the Captains totaling a team-high 607 digs (4.46 D/Set) breaking her own program record for digs in a season …Had a team high 48 service aces and added two kills and 25 assists…
2009 - FRESHMAN SEASON - Was selected as an Honorable-Mention All American in her first season as a Captain…In addition, Hogge was a first-team All-Region member and second-team All-Virginia selection…Named to the NCAA Regional Championship All-Tournament Team...Appeared in 143 games where she lead the team in digs for the season with 582 digs, a 4.07 per game average…Recorded 27 digs on three separate occasions against Juniata and in the NCAA Regional’s against Salisbury and NYU…Had 40 assists for the year with 4 coming in games against Salisbury and Mary Washington…Produced 26 service aces with 5 coming against Gwynedd-Mercy…Also had one kill and was a member of the Conference All-Academic Team.
AT PAUL VI -First team all-state among independent schools and first team all-WCAC...She was coach Farrar's team captain as a junior and senior...An Honor Roll student as a senior...A Peer Mentor and church volunteer.
PERSONAL - Abigail Lee Hogge was born Jan. 10, 1991 in Arlington, Va...She is the daughter of Dennis and Karen Hogge...She has not yet chosen her major...Has two sisters, Emily, 27 and Jenny, 29 and a brother Justus, 24...Hogge is a member of the Intervarsity Campus Crusade for Christ and made the Dean's list in the spring...She likes playing the guitar and is also an aunt...Her biggest thrill as a CNU student-athlete was going to the Elite Eight in 2009.
