Biography

2011 – JUNIOR SEASON - Saw action in 42 matches and 132 sets during her junior season…Garnered first-team All-USA South honors, second-team VaSID All-State accolades, and honorable mention All-AVCA South Region nods for her performance…Finished second on the team with 98 blocks and third with 309 kills…Placed third on the squad and fifth in the USA South with a .297 hitting percentage…Also ranked second in the conference with a 0.74 blocks-per-set average…Recorded double-digit kills on nine occasions, including a season-best 16 against the Coast Guard Academy on Sept. 4…Posted at least 10 kills in both ends of a doubleheader on Sept. 9, roping 10 against Carthage before adding 12 more in the nightcap against Wisconsin-Whitewater during the first day of the Washington National Invitational…Performed the feat again in a twin bill against Shenandoah on Sept. 18, firing 10 kills in the first match against the Hornets before tallying 14 more in the second contest…Posted an incredible .778 hitting percentage in the latter match against Shenandoah after notching those 14 kills on just 18 swings without a single error…Notched her final double-digit kill performance of the season in the National Championship match, firing 10 while hitting .304 against Wittenberg…Collected at least five blocks on seven occasions, including a season-best six against Greensboro on Nov. 1…Tallied five in back-to-back matches against Mary Baldwin on Oct. 11 and Eastern on Oct. 14…Recorded a season-best 10 digs and three aces during a thrilling five-set match against Salisbury on Oct. 8…Set a season-high with five assists against Greensboro on Sept. 23 while also matching her best effort of the year with three aces…Earned a spot on the USA South All-Tournament team for her performance in the playoffs…Posted 20 kills, 10 blocks, and seven digs during the three tournament matches.

2010 - SOPHOMORE SEASON - Saw action in 72 sets in her first year as a Captain…Averaged 2.21 kills per set with 159 total…Added five assists and seven service aces…Had 53 digs…Got up for three solo blocks and 38 block assists…Had nine kills with just 14 attempts and two block assists in the Captains’ NCAA Tournament Regional win over Randolph-Macon…

AT CENTENARY COLLEGE -  Played one season under coach Dan Gwitt where she totaled 148 kills, 189 assists, 21 aces, 96 digs, 8 solo blocks and 34 block assists.

AT FLINT HILL H.S. - Played volleyball 4 years under coaches Carrol Anderson and Andy Krug where she led her team to a 31-2 record and a Conference and State Championship in 2008...Twice a First-Team All-Conference in 2007 and 2008...First-Team All-State in 2008...First Team all-Metro in 2008... Virginia State Player of the Year and Tournament MVP in 2008...Recognized by prepvolleyball.com as one of the top 60 high school setters in the nation...Set a school record with 824 assists in a season in 2008...Finished her senior year with 180 digs, 61 aces, and 90 kills...All-Summit League All-Academic League...Winner of the Flint Hill Medal, Selma S. Brody Music Scholarship (2008), ACDA National Honor Choir, All-District Choir (2006 & 2007), Choral Director's Award....Graduated Cum Laude with a 3.9 GPA...Also volunteered at local nursing homes and coached volleyball.

PERSONAL - Christina A. Fellows was born Nov. 22, 1990 in Alexandria, Va...She has chosen a major of Music Education and is the daughter of Andrew and Gabriela Fellows...Has two sisters, Jesse, 18 and Allie, 14 and one brother, Drew, 16...In her spare time she enjoys playing the piano and guitar...Her goal as a CNU athlete is to win a National Championship.
