2024 - Junior Season -- Prior to the start of the 2024 season, Trey Hayes was named pre-season All-America by D3football.com. Hayes received the accolade as a return specialist, and became the sixth CNU player to ever be recognized as pre-season All-America.

2023 - Sophomore Season -- Continued to stand out for the Captains as a wide receiver and dangerous return threat...named first team All-State by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID, as well as third team All-Region by d3football.com and first team All-Conference in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) for his fantastic success on returns of kickoffs...led the NJAC by averaging 27.8 yards per return on 17 kickoff run backs...scored on a 95-yard game-opening kickoff return at Rowan on October 14th...caught 37 passes for 571 yards (an average of 51.9 yards per game) including six for touchdowns...also returned ten punts for 45 yards...averaged a team-high 106.9 yards per game in all-purpose yardage...ran the ball 13 times for 88 yards (6.8 yards per carry)...had his best game on November 4th at TowneBank Stadium vs. Montclair State, piling up 213 yards in total offense...caught a season-high ten passes, including a scoring reception, at TCNJ on November 10th as the Captains wrapped up the 2023 NJAC title.  

2022 - Freshman Season -- Posted a successful opening season with the Captains as a wide receiver and return specialist...saw action in all ten games...caught 21 passes for 329 yards, including two touchdowns...caught five passes in CNU games vs. Apprentice (September 17th), and TCNJ (November 5th) at TowneBank Stadium...returned 11 kickoffs for 229 yards (an average of 20.8 yards per return)...finished second in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) in kickoff return yardage...also returned ten punts for 38 yards (3.8 yards per return...averaged 59.7 all-purpose yards per game.

Before CNU -- Played two games at Division I Valparaiso during the Spring 2021 season before suffering a season-ending injury ... Made collegiate debut against Butler on March 13 ... Also competed against Drake

At Dominion -- Helped lead Titans to conference championship as a sophomore ... Set school single game rushing record with 302 yards ... Earned All-Conference and All-Region honors ... Also a member of the basketball and lacrosse teams
