Biography

2008 - Sophomore Season - CNU's leader in assists with 771 while splitting the setting duties with Jessie Heavenrich...They helped CNU lead the USA South in setting with 11.90 assists per game...Her efforts landed her second team all-USA South honors...Topped the 30 mark in assists four times with 37 against Pacific Lutheran, 32 each versus Cal State-East Bay and Baldwin-Wallce and 31 in a match against Meredith... She was also CNU's top server with 76 aces with seven against Shenandoah and five three other times...Also contributed 223 digs, reaching double figures three times, including 12 versus N.C. Wesleyan.

2007 - Freshman Season - Saw action in 45 games and did quite well...Had over 20 assists three times, with 22 against UVa-Wise and 20 each versus McDaniel and Meredith... Also had 15 or more assists in five other matches...Added a total of 70 digs, with 12 in a match with Puget Sound and had four block assists against Mary Baldwin...Added four kills in a match with N.C. Wesleyan.

AT CENTREVILLE - Earned second team all-state honors in her senior season, after capturing first team all-region and Concorde District MVP accolades...She was the district finals MVP and on the all-tournament team...As a junior she was honorable mention all-state, first team all-region and all-district...District tournament MVP...She was also first team all-Examiner as a senior and honorable mention all-Examiner in her junior year...Played for coach Ken Moser.

PERSONAL - Ryann Alexandra Lowery was born Sept. 25, 1989 in Centreville, Va...She is the daughter of Darlene and Patrick Lowery and has a sister Staci, 28...She is a Communications major.
