Biography

2009-Sophomore- Earned honorable mention all-USA honors after a season that saw him post a 8-11 singles record, but had a 15-5 record in doubles play, primarily teaming with Eric Shulman at No. 1 where they went 14-5... In singles he was 6-8 at No. 3, but 2-2 when moved up to No. 2.

2008- Freshman- Had an outstanding freshman season, finishing 17-3 in singles, seeing time at No. 2,3,4,5 and 6... Also had outstanding success in doubles, going 16-6... Was named Second Team All-USA South.

At Maple Grove- Participated in the New York State Championships where he placed in teh top 16... He had a 90-0 regular season record... Coach Kevin Beation's team was were the league champions every year.

Personal- Dusty DeWeese Nelson was born March 27, 1989 in Jamestown, N.Y... The son of Dusty and Theo Nelson has not chosen his major... Has a brother Wilson, 16 and a sister Sophie, 21.
