SALISBURY, Md. -- The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championship began on Thursday with the quarterfinal round at Salisbury University in Maryland. On Friday, the top-seeded Captains will take on either #4 Mary Washington or #5 UC Santa Cruz in the semifinal round at 3:00 p.m. with a bid to the 2026 C2C Championship on the line.
The Captains are the six-time defending conference champions of the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference and are 17-4 all-time in the C2C Tournament. CNU is 6-1 all-time against Mary Washington and 2-0 versus the Banana Slugs of UC Santa Cruz in the conference tournament.
Tickets are $10 for a day pass, $7 for seniors and $5 for children. A weekend pass is available for $15 with senior pricing of $10 and $8 for children.

CNU, ranked No. 14 in this week's WBCA Coaches' Poll, enters the postseason with a 21-4 overall record. The Captains lead the nation in bench scoring (38.7 ppg) and feature the 12th-ranked scoring offense in Division III this season (75.8 ppg). Heading into the semifinal round, the Captains are riding a six-game winning streak including a 60-48 win against Mary Washington in the regular season finale.
The All-Conference awards were released on Wednesday with Christopher Newport sophomore
Madison McKenzie hauling in the year's Defensive Player of the Year award. McKenzie is averaging 11.9 points per game to lead the offense while also grabbing 48 steals and adding 14 blocked shots this season. Senior
McKenna Snively ranks second on the team in scoring with 10.5 points per game and was named a second team All-Conference pick. Also earning second team All-C2C honors was senior point guard
Hailey Kellogg, averaging 5.3 points and 3.6 assists per game.
In the other semifinal matchup, second-seeded Johnson & Wales (N.C.) will take on either #3 Salisbury University or #6 Regent University. The second game will be played immediately following the first at 5:30 p.m. with the winning teams advancing to play in the C2C Championship on Saturday, February 28 at 7:00 p.m.
