FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Christopher Newport University's volleyball team will begin a stretch of four consecutive road matches in Fredericksburg Wednesday night against the University of Mary Washington.
This will be the 51
st match in the rivalry, which goes back to 1979. The Eagles lead the series 30-20, but the Captains earned a season sweep in 2024.
Mary Washington, a fellow member of the Coast-to-Conference, has 4-13 record after losing a pair of Saturday matches against No. 11 Washington & Lee and Gettysburg College.

Samantha Dorn is coming off a prolific four-match stretch in which she had 40 kills with a .333 hitting percentage. Also in that span, freshmen
