Game Notes  ||  Live Video  ||  Live Stats

GLENSIDE, Pa. -- Staying out on the road for a sixth straight game to start the season, the nationally-ranked women's basketball team will head to Arcadia University (3-1) for a 1:00 p.m. tip on Saturday, November 22. The Captains (3-2) are coming off an impressive 26-point victory at TCNJ on Wednesday night as part of an eight-game road trip to start the year.

The matchup will be the first time the two teams have ever met as CNU makes the trip to Alumni Gymnasium on the campus of Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania. Live stats and a live video webcast will be available online with links to both found on the women's basketball schedule at CNUsports.com or at the top of this page.

While it is the first time the two teams have faced off, it will not be the first time the two head coaches have matched up as CNU helmsman Bill Broderick took on Arcadia's first-year head coach Diane Decker when she was guiding Lebanon Valley College. The Captains won that battle, 94-31, on a neutral floor at Randolph-Macon in the 2021-22 season.

Sophomore Madison McKenzie is leading the way offensively for the Captains this year, averaging 12.2 points per game. The second-year guard scored a career-high 19 points against Bridgewater last weekend and has finished in double figures in three of the five games this year. Rookie Sydney Worsham has also registered double figures three times and is pouring in 10.6 points per game after a season-high 17 points at TCNJ on Wednesday night.

The win against the Lions featured a dominant defensive effort that saw Christopher Newport hold the home team to just three points in the final quarter. CNU forced 25 turnovers and grabbed 17 steals in the game as Worsham leads the Captains with 14 thefts through the first five games. Junior Elizabeth Creed ranks second on the team with nine steals.

Arcadia enters the game averaging just under 70 points per game while shooting 43.2 percent from the field through its first four games. Delaney Bell leads the Knights with 18.0 points per game while two more Arcadia players are averaging double figures in Taylor Koenig (14.0 ppg) and Hanna Rhoades (12.5 ppg).

Following the road trip to Pennsylvania, CNU will stay on the road for two more games. First, the Captains will take on Averett University prior to the Thanksgiving break on Tuesday, November 25 at 6:00 p.m. before the eight-game road swing ends at Shenandoah on Sunday, November 30 at 3:00 p.m.
