NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The 20th-ranked Christopher Newport men's soccer team will celebrate Senior Day prior to hosting Regent University in a matchup against the newest member of the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference on Saturday, October 11. The game will kick off at 1:00 p.m. after originally being scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. start.
CNU comes into the game against the Royals with a 7-1-4 overall record riding back-to-back draws against Washington and Lee and Mary Washington. Regent is 3-7-0 after a 5-0 setback at Salisbury University last Saturday.
The game is the second all-time between the two programs, with Christopher Newport capturing a 10-0 win on September 1, 2017. Regent is in the process of becoming a full member of NCAA Division III and has been accepted as a member of the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference starting in 2025-26.
Prior to the game, the Captains will honor and recognize the senior class of 2025 with a pregame ceremony. Eight seniors --

Christopher Newport comes into the game having surrendered just eight goals in the first 12 games of the season for a 0.67 goals-against average. Senior
Hayden Dewey has played all 1080 minutes in goal for the Captains with six shutouts. The defense has pitched four of those six clean sheets in the last five games with a dominant run through the midseason. Leading the back line has been sophomores

Yazan Yaghmmour.
Regent will look to contend with the CNU defense with an offensive unit that has averaged 1.60 goals per game this season with 16 scored in 2025. Yann-Olivier Kamga has the team lead with six goals and two assists for 14 points while Isaiah Morris has added eight points on three goals and two assists.
Following the Saturday afternoon festivities, the Captains will return to action on Saturday, October 18 at 7:00 p.m. CNU will take on Salisbury University in the penultimate home game of the season during Homecoming Weekend.
