It will be the first time the two programs have ever faced off after the Owls joined the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference prior to the 2022-23 season. The two teams will play a home-and-home series this year with Christopher Newport making the return trip to Asheville, N.C. for the final game of the regular season on Saturday, February 17.

The game will be the front end of a doubleheader with the two men's teams, who will tip off at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets purchased will serve as admission for both games.

Crump leads the freshmen in minutes so far this season, averaging 5.5 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.
