NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Christopher Newport Volleyball begins their quest for an 18th conference title on Friday afternoon when they line up as the No. 2 seed in the Coast-to-Coast Conference tournament against No. 3 seeded Salisbury.
Match Details
The Captains face Salisbury on their home court at 1:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon. The winner of the match will play for the C2C Championship the following day at 4:00 p.m. while the loser will play in the 3rd place match at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Last Time Out
Christopher Newport split their two Saturday afternoon matches on the road with a win over Susquehanna and a loss to Centre.
The Coast-to-Coast Conference announced their All-Conference selections on Thursday and named
Alyssa Dozier conference Player of the Year. Additionally,
Noelle Starr was named the Defensive Player of the Year and
Samantha Dorn won Rookie of the Year.
Sammy Carroll was named First Team All-Conference along with Dozier while Starr and Dorn were named to the Second Team.

Series History
The Captains have a long history with Salisbury as the two teams will meet for the 46th time on Friday. CNU has a 27-18 lead in the series but lost the most recent meeting back on October 28.
Scouting the Sea Gulls
Salisbury finished the regular season with wins in seven of their last eight matches and enters the tournament 18-7. Four Sea Gulls were honored on the C2C All-Conference teams this morning as Gwen Eustace and Grace Rail were part of the first team while Julie Altieri and Kiley McTaggart were named to the second team.
